Elsie Doiron Dauphine

Elsie Doiron Dauphine, 86, of Orange, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Houston with her loved ones by her side. Elsie was born on November 26, 1930 in Port Arthur, to the late Louis Doiron and Margaret Chadwick Doiron. Elsie was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Bridge City, she was a Homemaker and she cherished her family and dear friends.

Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Chester Dauphine of Orange; son, Terry Dauphine and wife Carol of Horseshoe Bay ; daughter, Christy Jones and husband George of Groves; grandchildren, Shawn and Cody Dauphine, Caleb and Caitlin Jones; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Taylor, Braxton and Emory Dauphine; sister-in-law’s, Nancy Schroeder and Donna Allen of Nederland and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, Father Steve Leger, officiant. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
