Elvira Jane Scott, 80, of Nederland, Texas died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Cypress Glenn East in Port Arthur, Texas. Elvira was born March 28, 1930 in Douglas, Arizona to James Cox and Grace Sanford Cox. She was a resident of Vidor, Texas for many years before moving to Nederland several years ago. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Chaplin Wayne McEwan officiating. Burial will be at Rodeo Community Cemetery in Rodeo, New Mexico. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Scott and grandson, Shane Sellers. Surviving relatives include 2 daughters, Kristi Easterling and husband James of Buna, Texas; Nancy Sellers and husband Stephen of Vidor, Texas; son, Del Scott of Nederland, Texas; 2 brothers, Jim Frank Cox and wife Shirley of Portal, Arizona; Allen Lee Cox and wife Mary Lynn of Forney, Texas; grandchildren, Scott Duncan Easterling and wife Shayla, Jennifer Watsabaugh and husband Thomas, Jessika Easterling, James Daniel Easterling and wife Jennifer, Samuel Dalton Easterling, Brandon Smith, Madeline Griffin and husband Jeremy, Laura Lee Soileau and husband Josh, Marissa Anderson and husband Chad, and 13 great grandchildren.

Del, Sue and I are very sorry about your mom's passing. And yet, she is in a much better place and now with her husband again. She was a great lady and always was positive and cheerful whenever I saw her. She will be greatly missed. If you need anything, just let me know and you have it.

Nancy, Kristi and Del, I want to thank you for allowing me the privliedge of getting to know your mother. She had a sprit like no other. Even though I only have know her a short time of her life, I feel like I have know her forever. I will always the cherished moments we spent together talking and laughing. In my heart I know she is in a wonderful place with the man of her dreams.. :) She always told me how gorgeous he was and how she missed him. I will never forget the woman that touched my life.
