Emily was a true friend. We first met her at The First Pentecostal Church on 16th Street in Port Arthur, Texas. Her brother, George and Andy were best friends. She was a few years younger than us and she had the most beautiful curls! We got to know her better in later years. She was always there for you. She and Joyce spent hours on the phone talking to each other. She had a "can do" attitude and never shirked from any task or job. We shall miss her for now, however we look forward to reuniting with her in God's Kingdom. Andy & Joyce Green

There are not enough words to express my deep love and gratitude to Emily Irene Weaver. Emily Irene and her husband Jerry touched our lives for the first time in 1970. I was fresh out of Durant Oklahoma never been anywhere and landed in Long Beach for my husband was stationed just out of boot camp in the Navy. She was only 9 years older than me but she had already been around the world in the Navy and she was my Navy mother. I was 19 years old. She taught me many things, we talked many many hours over the years. There was not a selfish bone and Irene Weaver's body she loved people she loved her church she loved God and she has many friends scattered all over the United States and abroad. I am so sorry that I had not talked to her in the last couple of months due to illness on my part. Plus that I knew it was going to be a 3-hour conversation LOL we always had much to talk about. I loved her with all of my heart and she was so kind, loving and sweet to us. We will always cherish all of the memories of her. May God bless and comfort her family Kellie and Dimity. I meant when they were just little girls in Long Beach California so time passes way too swiftly. Life happens while we're planning it we must love and cherish each other while we have them on this Earth. To all of the family God bless you and you had a wonderful wonderful MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, GREAT-GRANDMOTHER GREAT-GREAT-GRANDMOTHER, FRIEND AND WHAT A CHRISTIAN LADY SHE WAS. I MUST NOT LEAVE THAT OUT SHE LOVED GOD WITH ALL OF HER HEART.

I met Jerry Weaver when he hired me to do the Census years ago. Then in 1980 when I married the love of my life Irene helped me coordinate the ceremony. I found a life long friendship in the both of them. I know without a doubt that I will see them both again. Rest in peace Miss Irene. Say hi to Mr Jerry for me.
