Ena J. Prejean, 84, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Cypress Glen East in Port Arthur, Texas. Ena was born January 5, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to Adam McBride and Alida DeVilliers. She was a lifelong area resident and member of the Catholic faith. She worked as a #1 operator in the Package Division at Texaco for 38 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Prejean. Survivors include her two sisters, Annie Guidry of Port Neches, Clara Nolan of Groves; one brother, A. C. McBride of Port Neches; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ena was one aunt that I will always remember. She aways gave us kids the mean eye, she called it. She always said she did not like kids, but I believe deep down she did. When my Mom Beulah passed, Ena told me that I could call her MOM, which I did. Even sent her Mother Day cards. We played many cards together. She love to gamble and we had a great time when she visit me in Vegas. I hope God has slot machines in Heaven. If I could be there I would put a few quarters in her hand so she would be ready. I loved that woman and will miss her. Aunt Pinkie I know will miss her so much Ena was like her child, she took care of her. God Bless and I will Pray for Aunt Pinkie.

I was so sorry to hear of Ena's passing. I know the family and especially Aunt Clara will miss her. I always enjoyed visiting with Ena when I would visit with my Aunt Clara. Especially the times we would play cards. My prayers are with the family.
