Eretta M. Pettit, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Senior Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born March 21, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas to J.W. Bertrand and Inez LeDoux Bertrand. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Carl Bertrand and Ira Bertrand. Eretta was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a member of Park Central Church of Christ. She was retired as a Dental Assistant from the offices of Dr. Wood and Dr. Peacock. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Eretta is survived by her daughter, Donna Pettit Cooper of San Antonio, Texas, son, Michael Pettit and wife Patti of Kyle, Texas, sister, Elaine Guy of Port Arthur, Texas, three grandchildren, Alison Hicks, Kristin Ledesma and husband Jonathan, Jessica Guida and husband Anthony, six great grandchildren, Luke Ledesma, Noah Ledesma, Lila Hicks, Vivian Hicks, Olivia Guida and James Guida and several nieces and nephews.
