Eric Charles "Peanut" Kimball, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Peanut was born September 2, 1937 in Port Arthur, Texas to Theodore A. Kimball and Isabelle Pietz Kimball. He was a lifelong area resident and 1956 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Peanut was a lifelong self-employed commercial shrimper and served in the U. S. Army Reserves and Merchant Marines. He will leave behind a huge hole in the hearts of his family and all that knew him. Until we meet again Popee we love you and cant wait to see you again. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Goodson Vincent and brother, T.W. Kimball. Survivors include his wife, Sherra Kimball of Groves; sons, Murry Kimball and wife Sally of Groves, Kyle Kimball and wife Trisha of Nederland, Lecel Kimball and wife Lisa of Nederland, and Russell Hebert and wife Betty of Nederland; daughter, Kari Blanchard and husband Jacob of Port Neches; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. I will always remember the time you took out for me as a kid. Bringing me shrimping with you and teaching me a lot of things I needed to know. You were sharp up to the end and telling me all about the unit I worked on up at Clear Lake hospital not so long ago. Always a happy person bringing the Best out in everyone. I'll always miss you Cuz.

Kimball family, May the Lord give you strength during your time of sorrow and loss. I have known and had the pleasure of Peanut since the second grade at Terrell school. Never was there a finer man and caring soul than Peanut, friend to all. I am so sorry for his passing, we were all richer in life knowing him. He now rests in the arms and grace of God.
