ibErnestine Marie Hopkins, 73, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away surrounded by family and friends on September 18, 2008 at Shiner Nursing Rehab in Shiner, Texas. She was born in Goose Creek, Texas on October 24, 1934 to the late Ernest James and Amanda Rhoden. She was a member of Hampshire Baptist Church.She was the loving mother of John and Gary Hopkins both of Beaumont, Ronald Hopkins of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Tracy Robin of Port Neches. She was the devoted grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Titus Hopkins.A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, September 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.Funeral services will be Thursday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Nederland, Rev. Joe Constantine officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
