Ernie Mae Tyler

Ernie Mae Tyler, 89, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. Ernie Mae was born December 5, 1929 in Kipling, Louisiana to Lum C. Harper and Eunice Lanier Harper. Ernie Mae was a resident of Groves for 71 years and was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was a retired manager of the ExPress Mart Convenient Store in Port Neches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Tyler; sons, Gary Wayne Tyler, Kenneth Dewayne Tyler, and Larry Ray Tyler. Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl Tyler of Groves; son Jimmy Tyler and wife Barbara of Mauriceville; daughter-in-law, Shirley Tyler of Groves; sister, Wanda Davis and husband Dyarell of Hixon, LA; brothers, Freddie Harper of Bossier City, LA, Bruce Harper and wife Winfred Ann of DeRidder, LA; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will be Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church in Kipling, LA with Reverend Randy Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
