Estanislao "Stan" de la Rosa, 57, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born November 5, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to Augustin de la Rosa, Sr. and Aurora Sanchez de la Rosa. Stan was a lifelong area resident and self- employed master plumber. He was a member of American Legion Post 7. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sylvia de la Rosa; brothers, David and Romeo de la Rosa. Survivors include his daughter, Desiree de la Rosa of Groves; sisters, Maggie Valma, Lidia Rojas, Maria Zapata, Oralia Flores, Diana Elizondo, and Estela Garza; brothers, Augustin, Joe, John and Richard de la Rosa; and grandson, Jaden Joaquin Perez. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Reverend T. R. Blanco officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
