Esther Henry Prince Esther, 98, was born August 26, 1915 in Erath, Louisiana to Martine DuBois Henry and Arthie Henry. She left this earth May 10, 2014. Esther attended school in Jennings, Shreveport and Lake Charles, Louisiana before the family moved to Port Arthur where she graduated from Port Arthur High School in 1933. Esther worked at the Home Laundry until 1937 when she married the love of her life, Irvin Prince, Sr. To this union five sons were born. At the time of the death of Irvin, they had been married almost 45 years. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irvin Prince, Sr., sons, Manfred J. Prince and Matthew D. Prince. Also her brothers, Warren Henry, Sr., Dennis Henry, sisters, Mae Yelton and Frances Homrighaus, grandsons, Karl Patrick Prince, Karl Allen Neel and Alex David Vonfeldt. Esther leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons, Irving "Mike" Prince, Jr. and wife, Peggy, Murray James Prince and wife, Linda, Thomas "Randy" Prince and wife, Kim, step daughter, Marjorie Barras, daughter-in-law, Hazel Prince Webb, brother-in-law, Henry L. Homrighaus, Sr. Also thirty one grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren too numerous to count and a large number of nieces and nephews. At the time of her death, Esther had been a resident of Magnolia Manor for over twelve years. A very special thanks to Kenny Blanda and his staff at Magnolia Manor for the excellent care that Esther received from them. Also to Odyssey Hospice for making her last days as comfortable as humanly possible. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
