Eugene Davis, 48, passed away at his residence in Port Neches, Texas on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Eugene was born in Nederland, Texas on September 21, 1973 to the late Judy Davis and Clifton “Sonny” Davis, Sr.
Eugene was a lifelong resident of the Port Neches area. He was a devout member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Eugene devoted extensive time and efforts to a variety of charitable organizations alongside the Knights of Columbus and also the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He loved cooking, drawing, and gardening. He also liked to experiment with his plants and trees, and even had an orange tree that would sprout blackberries. Eugene loved the sea, often spending days at the lakeside, considering it a second home. Eugene also loved spending time with his family. He taught his boys how to camp, hunt and fish, and he even showed them how to make an RC car run on nothing but hot sauce. Eugene was a devoted father to his children and was always there to care and provide for them. You can say that Eugene was a hero to his sons. He even picked up the rear end of a full sized vehicle with them inside and moved it. Besides being strong as an ox, Eugene was a kind and generous soul with a mischievous side that would make anyone laugh. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
