Eunice Marie Vance, 98, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Eunice was born July 5, 1914 in Morse, Louisiana to Altus Leleux and Elia Gaspard Leleux. She was a resident of this area for over 40 years. Eunice was a homemaker and member of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Vance; daughter, Pat Durso; son, Rodney Hargrave; great-granddaughter, Chanel Herbert; five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Annie Helton of Nederland, and Johnnie Hoffpauir (granddaughter); sons, Roger Vance and wife, Robyn of Nederland, Lloyd Vance and wife, Debbie of Mauriceville, Roland Hargrave of Nederland; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Monsignor Dan Malain, pastor of St. Charles Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry about the passing of Aunt Eunice. Lots of good family memories! She sure loved to laugh and feed everybody. Oh, do I remember her gumbo! She was the one who taught me to eat it with potato salad. My prayer's go out to all the family. Love, Normie
