Eva Gene Miller Skipper

Eva Gene Miller Skipper, 86 of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 in Port Neches. Eva was born in Port Neches on July 29, 1937 to the late, John Henry Kirby Miller and Ruby Erma Williams Miller.
Eva was a graduate of Port Neches Groves High School where she was one of the first group of Indianettes. She was an absolute wonderful mother. She loved fishing and was always up for a trip to the beach or to the lake to spend time with friends.
Those left to cherish Eva’s memory include her husband, Roy Jackson Skipper, III; her former husband and father of her children, Kenneth Irvine; her daughter, Terry Irvine; son, Larry Irvine; grandchildren, Joel Franks, Josiah Franks and Ashley Irvine; and her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Franks, Naomi Franks and Kiera Franks.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Kirby Miller and Ruby Erma Williams Miller; brothers, J.C. Miller, Don Miller, Dan Miller and Robert Miller.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 5:00 p.m.
