Eva Jo Scott

Eva Jo Scott, 72, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2023, at Oak Grove Nursing Center in Groves, Texas.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 16, 1950, she was the daughter of Jesse "Jake" Justice and Ruth Young Justice.

Eva Jo was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #75 in Sour Lake, Texas. She was always looking forward to being in the great outdoors, whether she was fishing, camping, or her all time favorite, cruising. Many people enjoyed spending time with Eva Jo and she loved to share her gift of cooking.

She is preceded in death by her daughters Betty Ann Scott and Amber Renee Scott’.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Bryce Scott of Victoria, Texas, her son, Corey Scott of Call, Texas, and her granddaughter, Alyxandra Scott. She also is survived by her sister, Carolyn Lentschke of Port Neches, Texas and her brother Jesse Dean Justice (Judy) of Deweyville, Texas. Also, her niece, Amanda Johnson, and nephews, Jesse Allen Justice and David Scott. She is also survived by her cat, Sam, and her granddogs, Murphy and Narly. She will be dearly missed by her lifelong friends Faye and Johnny Colunga of Port Arthur, Texas, Janie Jasper, and Kacie Borel, both of Orangefield, Texas and her favorite neighbors for many years, Kim and Jim Woodward.

A " no tears, no flowers, no speeches". Eva Jo Celebration lunch will be served Saturday, July 29,2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church located at 903 Avenue B Port Neches, Texas 77651. Hosted by Rooted-Central Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
