Eva Perkins, 94, of Nederland, Texas passed away June 5, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born October 31, 1916 in Evans, Louisiana to the late James Wesley and Tarah Craft Smith.A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the funeral home, Rev. Gary Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.She is survived by 3 sons, Billy Perkins of Nederland, D.D. Perkins of Vidor, and Phillip Perkins of Austin niece, Nellie Stevens of Bryan 10 grandchildren 11 greatgrandchildren 7 greatgreatgrandchildren sister, Myrtle Hummer of Coppers Cove and brother, Duane Smith of Evans, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents husband, Doyle Perkins son, Van Perkins grandsons, Gregory Stevens greatgrandson, Cooper Wilson 2 daughtersinlaw, Pat Perkins and Jane Perkins 2 sisters, Evelyn Jean, and Alta Louvier and 3 brothers, Floyd Smith, Carey Smith, and J. W. Smith.
