Evelyn Jacquelyn “Jackie” Kindell, 90, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, with her loving family at her side.
Jackie was born on October 16, 1932, in Glenmora, Louisiana to Melinda Johnson Wagnon and William Lambright. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over fifty years and was a retired operator for Southwestern Bell for over thirty five years. Jackie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading the Bible and taking care of her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She loved her church dearly and participated in many church activities such as the Children’s Ministries; the Willing Worker’s Ladies Sunday School; Vacation Bible School and the Funeral Meal Team. Jackie was a devout Christian, a dedicated employee but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly.
Survivors include her daughter, Karyn Kindell Bellard and her husband Patrick of Groves; grandchildren, Robiayne McDonald and her husband Jody, Taylor Boudreaux and her significant other, Kevin Hilgemeier, Ryan Kindell and his wife Melissa, Justin Brown and Scarlett Bellard; great grandchildren, Micah McDonald, Nathaniel “Nate” McDonald, Silas Boudreaux, Jackson Boudreaux, Kimberlyn Kindell, Rylan Kindell, Cadence Ott, Jace Ott and Lexi Harris; daughter-in-law, Carrie Ott and her husband Robert.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, William Lambright and Melinda Wagnon; sisters, Joyce Normand, June Lambright, Lilah Jeanne Lambright, her son, Robert “Robbie” Nathaniel Kindell, II and the love of her life, Robert Nathaniel “Bob” Kindell, I.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Ryan Kindell, Jody McDonald, Kevin Hilgemeier, Troy Boudreaux, Nathaniel McDonald, Micah McDonald, Silas Boudreaux and Jackson Boudreaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Patrick Bellard, Ronnie Tyson, Jr. and Bill Schroeder.
