Evelyn Joyce Rutherford

Evelyn Joyce Rutherford, 86, of Winnie, Texas passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas. Evelyn was born January 6, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas to Charlie Cliff Ware and Nancy Erickson Ware. She was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. Evelyn retired from Park Place Hospital as a PBX operator. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Ware. Survivors include her three sons, Steve Rutherford and wife Regina of Winnie, Jimmy Rutherford and wife Glenda of Winnie, and Bobby Rutherford and wife Svetlana of Houston; grandchildren, Rachel LaVergne, Joshua Rutherford, Kara Permenter, Stevi Rutherford; and great-grandchildren, Alexander LaVergne and McCoy Permenter. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
