Evelyn N. Williams, 92, of Vidor, Texas passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born June 4, 1918 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Frank W. Johnson and Louella Castleberry Johnson. She was a lifelong Port Arthur resident before moving to Vidor 10 years ago. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Port Arthur and retired from Woolco Department Store as a personel supervisor with over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton R. Williams, Sr. and daughter, Barbara Ann Martin. Survivors include her two daughters, Claudene Powers of Vidor and Pam Morris of Port Neches; two sons, Jerry Nicholson and wife, Yvonne of Nederland, and Clifton R. Williams, Jr. and wife, Mary Jane of Lumberton; one brother, Roy C. Johnson and wife, Glenda of Nacogdoches; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Pastor Mike Due officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
