Fannie Leona Bussey, 88, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Nederland, Texas. Fannie was born June 7, 1927 in Wilkes County, Georgia to William J. Bailey and Bertha Turner Bailey. She was a resident of Port Neches since 1949 and a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Neches. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m., with Dr. David Birdsong officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charley Ray Bussey, eight brothers, three sisters, and great-grandson Collin Foy. Surviving relatives include her daughters, Kay Boudreaux and husband Jerry and Sherry Martin and husband Mike all of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Mary Nettles of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Leon Bailey of Livingston, Texas; Gene Bailey of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laurie Foy Martin, Charlie Gallagher, Taft Foy, and Jeff Boudreaux; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 6055 South Loop East, Houston, Texas 77087-1005 or (Huntington's Disease) wehaveaface.org 7035 Branch Court, Saint Cloud, Florida 34771. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Holland Place Senior Living for the loving care and the sweet friendships. Also, thanks to Texas Home Health and Hospice Care for their attention to her health and well-being.

On behalf of the Pankhurst family, I would like to extend our sincerest sympathies on the loss of our sweet friend of many years --- Fannie!!! Such a servant of God for so many years as our father/husband was her pastor at Central Baptist Port Neches!!! We will forever cherish our fond memories of precious Ray and Fannie!!! I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Fannie. My thoughts about Aunt Fannie were seeing Uncle Ray and her working in one of the many gardens of heaven. We all will carry the memories we made with her in our heart. May the Lord give you'll peace and comfort during this time.

I was really sorry to hear about Aunt Fannie. I won't be able to make the funeral, but Randy will be there. The Lord will be by Kay and Sherry during this time of mourning. God Bless You, Glenn
