Faye Justice Byrd, 91, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018. Faye was born September 18, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ethrel Edgar Justice and Jesse Jordan Justice. Faye was a homemaker and lifelong Port Arthur resident. She worked for many years in Woodlawn Junior High School cafeteria as a desert cook. She was a member of Groves-Port Arthur Eastern Star Chapter #953, and a member of Woodmen of the World. Faye was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virgie Justice, Frances Singletary and Syble Dilocker; brothers, E.E. Justice Jr., Fred Justice and J.V. Justice; and grandson, Timothy Stanley. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Neely H. Byrd, Sr. of Port Arthur; daughter, Deborah A. Stanley and husband Joseph of Starks, LA; sons, Neely H. Byrd, Jr. and wife Linda of Lumberton, and Glenn E. Byrd and wife Rynada of Nederland; sister, Jane Mannino of Port Neches; grandchildren, Stacy Beard, and Andrea Plate; great-grandchildren, Colten D. Beard, Arabella Plate, Flynn Plate, Kaylin Stanley and honorary Madison Taquino. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Dustin Byrd officiating. Eastern Star Chapter #953 will conduct the Eastern Star service. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
