Felix Findley of Port Arthur went to his heavenly home Wednesday June 13, 2012. He was born in Port Neches, January 9, 1934 to Hulda Noack Findley and Monroe L. Findley. He attended Nederland schools and was a 1952 Nederland High School graduate. While serving in the army he was stationed at Blue Knob Air Force Base, Pennsylvania. There he met his wife Carol Gunsallus and was married April 2, 1958. They have lived in Port Arthur 47 years. He retired from Ameripol Synpol in Port Neches as a supervisor. He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Port Arthur where he served as Secretary/ Treasurer for many years. He loved to travel in his RV and took many trips going caravan style with his brothers and friends. He visited every state in the continental US. He was a member of the Seagull Sam's Camping Club. Felix is preceded in death by his parents; sister Rosalee Harlan and brothers Ernest Findley, Eugene Findley and Anthony (Pill) Findley. He is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Sheila Findley of Nederland and sons Wayne Findley and wife Terri of Oklahoma City, Arthur (Buddy) Findley and wife Denise of Port Neches, Scott Findley and wife Lucy of Beaumont. Grand children Crystal Findley of Dallas, Daniel Findley and his wife Clerisa of Nederland, David Findley of Oklahoma City and Rachel Dewberry and her husband John who also live in Oklahoma City. Sisters Lillie Mae Hales of Woodville, Evelyn Conda of Port Neches and Eleanor (Susie) Findley of Chandler. Three brothers, Monroe Findley of Vidor, Joe Findley and Johnnie Findley, both of Warren. He is also blessed to have many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, officiated by Pastor Thomas Welch. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Port Arthur.

I worked with Felix at the rubber plant during the merger. He was a really fine man to work with. I enjoyed his company. Sorry for your loss. Cliff

We loved and will truly miss our brother in the Lord. Glad Tidings will be changed forevever, but will carry on in his memory. We love you all & are lifting you up in prayer. Bro. Felix was most certainly a great example of integrity for the kingdom and has now heard the words "well done thou good and faithfull servant"

Oh how we loved sweet Bro. Felix! He was such a wonderful man and so faithful to church and his God! We will never forget all those Gaither videos and CD's he shared with us. He was so kind and loving. He will be truly missed.

Uncle Felix was a blessing in our life, we love him and will miss him, so thankful he knew the Lord and is now rejoicing because he has run the race and finished the fight.
