Flavia Breaux Stone

September 21, 1915 — January 15, 2016

Flavia Breaux Stone, 100, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016 in Indiantown, Fla. Flavia was born on September 21, 1915 in Youngsville, La. to Evalture and Louise Breaux. As a young child she moved with her family to Port Arthur, Tex., where she ultimately met and married her husband, Cal C. Stone, in 1937. They raised their three children in nearby Groves, Tex. She was a member of the choir for many years at their church, Victory Temple in Beaumont, Tex., and enjoyed spending time with the congregation there in the presence of the Lord. In 1977 she and Cal retired to Toledo Bend Lake, where Flavia enjoyed the beauty and nature of the East Texas piney woods. Her greatest joy was her family and the home where she and Cal created so many memories with their children and grandchildren. Her love of the Lord was the focus of her life, and she often expressed her gratitude for His blessings throughout her life. She was especially grateful for the 71 years she spent with Cal, who passed away in 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Robert Turnage and Marvin Carver officiating.
