Floyd Russell Scalf, 51, of Groves passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

He was born on April 28, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio to Hiram Joseph Barnes and Roweena Scalf.

Floyd lived in the area for 29 years and was employed as a QAQC Inspector for Turner Industries. He was also a member of United Christian Fellowship Church in Port Neches.

A memorial service for friends and family will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Hiram Joe Barnes; son, Michael Jacobs; grandson, Tony Moretti and grandfather, Elmer Rolph.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Jacobs-Scalf of Groves; mother, Roweena Barnes of Kountze; daughters, T.J. Marie Scalf of New Hampshire, Lyndy Covington and husband Jon of Fannett and Amber Jacobs of Groves; son, Bryce Scalf of Groves; sisters, Angela Spear of Amelie, Ohio and Shauna Touchet and husband Chris of Fannett; brother, Danny Scalf; grandchildren, Jadyn Moretti, Makayla Jacobs, Chad Moretti, Odin Jacobs, Sage Ramos and Emerson Ramos; great-grandchildren, Camden and Carina Vaquera and grandmother, Rosa Mae Ralph of Kountze.

Rusty was irreplaceable. We have so many memories bit let me share this one. It was mom's birthday one year and we had blown up balloons and stuck them all of them on the ceiling throughout the house, on the floor everywhere. Well if y'all knew Rusty he was never bare foot except for in the shower. Well he decides to play the karate kid and kick one of the balloons and slipped and ate crap! Look, I wasn't even in the living room when this happenef but I heard did Suddenly the entire house erupted with laughter including me cause I KNEW he just hit the floor playing around 😂

I still cannot wrap my head around that you are truly gone..... We have been friends for a very long time. The first memory that popped in my head was back to the very first day we met. The note that got passed to me from you in Library that day and I was wondering who in the world was Rusty, and I looked up and you waved and smiled. That was the sweetest thing in the world, you made my bad day that I was having so much better. That started our friendship that was strong from the start till this very day. We had tons of fun and got in a lot of trouble together also, and I wouldn't change a thing. I still have that note to this very day in my Senior book.... I do not know how I will feel on the holidays and both of our Birthdays, not hearing your voice every again or that laugh of yours. I know I will look up and tell you Happy Birthday and Holidays because that is one thing we always did because we lived so far apart from each other. I Love you my Friend and will miss you! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful for the 29 years we were blessed to have him. Not many men would step in and take on 3 teenagers but you did it and never thought twice about it. We love you so much dad. Thank you for loving us and taking care of us even though you didn't have to. Thank you for giving us a little brat brother to love. You were one hell of a man. Rest easy Paw!

Pink you were always a cool dude. I can remember the first day I met ya and you said you was my Qc....boy did I laugh. You were a good guy and would do anything for anyone. You will be missed buddy,keep them welders in line wherever your at. RIP Pink!!!
