Frances Ann Marks

Frances Ann Marks, 75, of Groves, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at her home. She was born November 29, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to Charles Glen Williams and Frances Irion Williams. Frances was a lifelong resident of this area and member of First United Methodist Church of Groves, Gulf Coast Day Lilies Society for over 40 years, Hibiscus Club and member of the First United Methodist Church of Groves Choir. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 at First Methodist Church of Groves with Reverend Alan Van Hooser and Reverend Beverly Tune officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Frances is survived by her daughter; Sheri Jehlen and husband, Charles of Groves, son; Staff Sergeant H. Scott Marks, USMC Retired of Groves, four grandchildren; Meagan Jehlen and fiance Scott Brannin, Christopher Jehlen, Hannah Kay Jehlen, and Brett Austin Marks, and one great granddaughter; Emily Elizabeth.

Dear Scott and Sherrie...I have many fond memories of your Mom with Freddie and all you kids. She was a very sweet and humble woman with many wonderful qualities. If you two are half the person she was, then she did her job well. She is at peace and someday you will all be joined together again. My prayers are with you all

Sheri & Scott - your mother was so wonderful. I remember the times that I would spend the night with her and your dad when getting ready to go on a daylily trip. God has blessed us with her life.
