Francis "Diane" Nichols, 58, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Diane was born November 17, 1955 in Crocket, Texas to Joe Dan Gilson and Francis Speaker Gilson. She was an area resident for 35 years. Survivors include her three step-sons, Wade Hampton Nichols, III and wife Debbie of Kirbyville, Brett Nichols and wife Kelly of Bridge City, Seth Nichols and wife Barbara of Port Neches; sister, Holly Martin and husband David of Magnolia; four brothers, Roy Gilson of New Caney, Danny Gilson and wife Patsy of Latexo, Thomas Gilson of Latexo, Billy Gilson and wife Evelyn of Ropesville; twelve grandchildren, Brett Nichols, Jr. and wife Ashley, Blake Nichols, Sarah Davis and husband Grant, Darrell Nichols, Erica Nichols, Macie Nichols, Danielle Nichols, Loren Nichols, Jerry Nichols, Grace Nichols, William Nichols, Kerry Nichols; three great-grandchildren, John Nichols, Josh Nichols, and Jacob Nichols. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Travis Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
