Fred S. Davis, Jr.

Fred S. Davis, Jr., 91, of Nederland, Texas passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Fred was born September 14, 1922 in Georgia. He was a lifelong area resident and member of Trinity Baptist Church in Port Arthur. He retired after 42 years of service as an accountant from Pat Tank formerly Ellerbee Brother's. Fred was also a member of the Port Arthur Lions Club and was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran. He was a proud supporter of Lamar University Port Arthur. Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Agnes Davis. Survivors include two sons, Edwin Davis and wife Melissa of College Station, TX, Fred J. Davis and wife Pam of Nederland, TX; and grandson, Dylan. A visitation for family and friends will begin at noon on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Due officiating.
