Frederick “Fred” G. Sonnier, 59, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at College Street Health Care in Beaumont. He was born on May 31, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late John Sonnier and Dolores Porter. He was a laborer in the restaurant industry.

Fred is survived by his sister, Faith Shoemaker of Nederland; nieces, Kimberly Hope Swanzy of Nederland and Hollis Charity Shoemaker of Nederland; and great-niece, Ava Swanzy of Nederland. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland.
