Frederick William “Bill” Rensland, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away peacefully at a private care nursing facility in Groves, Texas with his loving family at his side.
Bill was born to F.W. Rensland, Jr. and Hettie Sturrock Rensland on Sunday, January 28, 1934, in Port Arthur. He graduated in 1952 from Thomas Jefferson in Port Arthur and then in 1953 married the love of his life, Mary “Lilly” Arnaud. Bill worked at Neches Butane from 1953 to 1959 and later at Dupont Beaumont Works from 1959 to 1992 and retired as an instrument Electrical Foreman. Bill and Lilly enjoyed going to dinner theaters and taking short bus trips and camping in their trailer at the lodge on the lake and loved to keep a beautiful yard.
Bill is survived by his sister Carla Hurley and husband Butch of Trophy Club, Texas; sons, Mark Rensland of Garland, Texas, Phillip Rensland and fiancé Mary of Beaumont; daughters, Kathy Ohman and husband Victor of Fate, Texas and Jeanine Davis and husband John of Missouri City, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Ohman, Courtney Gill, Shannon Corley, Megan Wallace, Jonathan Davis, Carol Rensland, Joey Rensland, thirteen great grandchildren, Olivia, Selah, Sophia, Christopher, Levi, Lillian, Spencer, Victoria, David, Ben, Silas, Aiden and Isabel; great-great grandchild, Celina.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, F.W. and Hettie Rensland; his wife of sixty-six years, Lilly Rensland who passed away on September 23, 2019.
A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A funeral service to Honor the Life of Frederick William “Bill” Rensland will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon Ohman, Alan Gill, Luke Corley, Joey Rensland, David Moreno and Brandon Burbage.
