Gary George Gattis, 61, of Fannett, Texas died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas. Gary was born January 10, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to Rollin Ernest Gattis and Paige Yvonne Green Gattis. He was a life long area resident and a Machinist at Motiva. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Fannett and a 41 year member of the OCAW. He was also an Eagle Scout and an Assistant Scout Master for Troop #239 of Fannett. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Rev. Matt Thomas officiating and Rev. Fred Avery assisting. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Paige Yvonne Gattis. Survivors include his wife, Susan Gattis of Fannett, Texas; father, Rollin E. Gattis of Groves, Texas; daughter, Briana Lynn Gattis of Fannett, Texas; son, Greg A. Gattis of Pearland, Texas; sister, Drina Brunsting and husband, Carl of Houston, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church of Fannett.
