Gary James Guidroz, 77, of Groves passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Gary was born October 25, 1940 in Port Arthur to the late Lillian and Alcee Guidroz. Gary was a pipefitter at Texaco Refinery and also served his country in the Texas National Guard. He was a member of the Spindletop Streetrod Car Club and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Groves.
Gary is survived by his wife of 32 years, Beverly Laird Guidroz; step-son, Sean Riley and his wife, Bethany and their children, Annah, Oliver and Asher; his brother, Jeffrey Guidroz and his wife, Linda and their children, Jonathan, Brandon, and Sarah; his brother, Gregory and his wife, Wendy and their children, Blair and Jana. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Paula Guidroz.
A gathering of the family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been set up at MCT Credit Union in Gary Guidroz's memory.
