Gay Melodie Davis Pousson, 66, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Gay was born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 6, 1954 to Ludie Joseph Davis Jr. and Hazel Guidry Davis.

She was a lifelong area resident. She was an avid reader, gardener, into arts and crafts and floral design

Gay was preceded in death by her parents, Ludie Joseph Davis Jr. and Hazel Guidry Davis, brother, Joe Davis III and sister, Diane Samuels.

She survived by her husband Keith Pousson, daughter, Amy Larson and husband Scott of Bridge City, sisters, Cathy Bencowitz of Beaumont and Angela Howard of Lumberton and granddaughter, Phoebe Anne Burke of Nederland.

Gay was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend

A visitation for family and friends will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m.
