Genevieve Connor, 75, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her residence in Port Neches.
Genevieve was born on June 4, 1948, in Bell City, Louisiana to Edith Mae Jones Guillory and Chester Guillory. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly and took good care of them. Genevieve was known as the family peacemaker and was referred to as Mimi. She loved her purses and perfume, taking care of her family especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies. Genevieve loved to argue in a playful way, especially with her husband of forty-eight years and the love of her life, Archie Joseph Connor. She loved life, the people in her life and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Archie Connor of Port Neches; children, Debra Simmons and her husband Wilson, Rhonda Quibodeaux and her husband Charlie and Edith Murrell and her husband Michael all of Sulphur, Louisiana; Arthur Connor and his companion Re Deana of Beaumont; sisters, Janet Thibault of Nederland and Dorothy Amy of Grand Lake, Louisiana; grandchildren, Blair, Patrick, Bethany, Micah, Summer and Karrah; great grandchildren, Gabby, Wayland and Scarlet.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Edith Guillory; brother, Chester “Bud” Guillory and brother-in-laws, Curtis Amy and Bob Thibault.
A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2023 at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Melancon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her husband Archie Connor, Arthur Connor, Wilson Simmons, Summer Connor, Micah Oliver, Cory Meyers, Velvet Meyers and Michael Murrell.
