George Allison Perolio, 83, of Nederland passed away on May 6, 2010. He was born August 12, 1926 in Westerly, West Virginia to August and Mittie Perolio. He served honorably in the Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operations. Upon his return he worked for Pure Oil Company and moved into the Beaumont area in 1952. He retired from Union Oil of California after 39 years of employment. George was active within the local VFW and American Legion. He loved to go dancing, play dominoes, collect coins and garden.He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie, daughters, Jackie and husband, Tim Howe, Sr. of Malvern, PA, Diane Ferrell of St. Albans, WV, Connie and husband, Paul Hayes of Lake Toledo Bend, grandchildren, Ricky Burgess, Eric Hayes and wife, Trina, Jeremy Hayes and wife, Betsy, T.J. Howe, Jr. and wife, Barbara, Stefanie Glod, and five greatgrandchildren.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 5:008:00 p.m. A graveside military service will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
