George O. Dugas George O. Dugas, 89, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 13, 1927 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to George O. Dugas and Lillian Cormier Dugas. George was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Salt Water Anglers and VFW. He was retired as a supervisor from Texaco. George was a United States Army veteran serving his country during World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Hanks. George is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary L. Dugas of Groves, three daughters, Barbara Hanks and husband Robert of Port Neches, Debra Kersten and husband Dave of McGregor, TX, and Charlene Hoelzer and husband David of Port Neches, son, Darrell Dugas of Port Neches, twelve grandchildren, Stephanie Stotts and husband Darron, David Hanks and wife Marla, Brandon Hanks, Kyle Brown and wife Sarah, Kevin Brown and wife Erika, Brittany Dirnbaur, Maria Dugas, Robert Hoelzer and wife Dana, Joshua Hoelzer , Jacob Hoelzer, Jennifer Lyles and husband Cayce, and Tamara Miller, twelve great grandchildren, Madelyn Stotts, Mason Stotts, Gavin Hanks, Nolan Hanks, Kaleb Brown, Kenley Brown, Cody Lyles, Josie Lyles, Jamie Lyles, Hunter Harrington, Taylor Harrington, Royce Hoelzer and another great granddaughter on the way. I worked with George at Texaco Island many years. He was a fine gentleman and a dedicated employee that was always a pleasure to work with. My deepest sympathy for your loss and prayers of comfort for your family.
