Georgia Castille, a devout Catholic, known for her unwavering faith and love for praying the Holy Rosary, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Port Neches, Texas. Born on April 10, 1921, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, to the late, Joseph Bergeron and Donathile Robin Bergeron, Georgia's life was a testament to kindness, faith, and love.
Throughout her life, Georgia found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for dancing, which led her to meet the love of her life, Leroy Castille. Their love story blossomed on the dance floor and endured for 64 beautiful years until Leroy's passing. Georgia also had a green thumb and took great pride in maintaining a picturesque yard that bloomed with her care and dedication. Her cooking skills were another point of pride as she delighted friends and family with delicious meals crafted with love. A Friday ritual she never missed was her visit to the beauty shop which always left her feeling refreshed and ready to face the world.
In addition to her loving husband, Leroy Castille, Georgia is reunited in heaven with her parents, Joseph Bergeron and Donathile Robin Bergeron; her brother, Rodney Bergeron; and her sister, Ella Mae Meche. She leaves behind cherished memories for her surviving family members which include her son, Donald Castille and his wife, Cindy of Taylor Landing, Texas; daughter, Bonnie Castille and her husband, James of Cypress, Texas. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren, Jason Castille and his wife, Kim, Tamara DeRouen, Brent Castille, Chad Castille and his wife, Kristin, Kelli Polansky and her husband, Eric; great-grandchildren, Jadon Castille, Conner Castille, Victoria Campbell, Lindsey DeRouen, Briley Castille, Graham Castille, Olivia Castille, McKinlee Polansky, Caisen Polansky and Braxton Polansky; as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Channing Castille and Vincent Campbell.
The services to honor Georgia's life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas located at 1605 Avenue H. A gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m followed by the Praying of the Holy Rosary at 11:30a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00p.m. with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
Georgia will be remembered for her warm smile, loving heart, and unwavering faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved beyond measure.
