Gerald Wayne Davis, 68 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 1, 1950 to the late George Davis and Tressie Lowe Davis.

Those left to cherish Gerald’s memory are his sons, Robert Davis of Winnie, James Daniel Garrett, Jr. and his wife, Anna of Port Acres, and David Lundine of Port Acres; his daughter, Brandy Miller and her husband, Brent of Port Acres; his step-mother, Helena Davis of Houston; his sisters, Karla and Cheral; his grandchildren, Samuel Garrett his wife, Melinda, Christel Ferguson her husband, Gavin, Rachel Garrett, Breanna Hensley, Haleigh Lemaire, Anthony Lemaire, Makahla Davis, Katelynn Davis, and Emma Davis; and his great-grandchildren, Cassidy cooper, Alyssa Cooper, Sage Monson, Jonathan Garrett, Isaac Garrett, Ethan Garrett, Olive Marie Garrett, Madison Ferguson, Conner Ferguson, and Caden Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta Ann Davis; his daughter, Darla Jo Garrett; his sister. Elizabeth Trahan; and his brother, Doug Romero.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Steve Grohn and Rev. Greg Kyler officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.,
