Gerald Ray Lynn, 79, of Nederland, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born in Paris, Texas on March 10, 1934 to the Late Albert and Eula Hughes Lynn. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army. Gerald was a carpenter with Local 410 Union.Funeral services will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the funeral home.Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Evelyn Barnes and Patsy DeWitt. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dugas Lynn of Nederland; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
