Geraldine Benton Perkins Roberts was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on the 15th day of August in the year 1920. She went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2024, having lived 103 years, 5 months, and 13 days. Jerry, as she was always known, was a faithful member of the Lord’s body for 90 years and was a member of the Memorial church of Christ in Port Arthur.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Love Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Floyd Roberts; her grandson Rick Edwards; her parents Walton Perkins and Eula Savant Perkins; her brothers Walton Perkins Jr., Jimmy Perkins, and Joe Perkins.
Jerry is survived by her daughter Beverly Edwards and husband Ray of Groves, Tx; Granddaughters Tammy Edwards of Groves, TX; Wendy Holt and husband David of Lindale, TX; Great-grandchildren Leanne Reames and husband Dylan of St. Francisville, LA; Kaitlyn Bleakley of Groves, TX; Hannah Barnes and husband Beau of Conway, AR; Jadyn Holt of Lindale, TX; Lake Edwards and Ridge Edwards of Pt. Neches, TX; Great-great-grandchildren Haley Reames and Levi Reames of St. Francisville, LA; A number of nieces and nephews and many brethren and friends.
