Gert LeDoux Worden

Gert LeDoux Worden, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at St. Mary Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur. Gert was born December 22, 1928 in Jennings, Louisiana to Otto and Eumia LeDoux. She was a resident of Groves for over 60 years and member of West Groves Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and for many years was a dental assistant for Dr. Lloyd Watkeys. Gert was a volunteer for the Hospital Auxiliary and was always there to help people, she also participated in Church and Auxiliary functions when possible. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings. Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, B.J. Worden of Groves; and daughter, Linda Ann Worden of Houston. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Jammie Lyons for all the loving care and support.
