My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Alvarez family. I remember Mr. Alvarez as one of those wonderful Bishop Byrne parents--so supportive of his children, no matter what the activity. I know you will miss him dearly.

Dear Toby, I was so sorry to hear of the death of Gilbert. He was a very good friend of mine. I respected him as a WWII veteran who served our country. He was a caballero of which there are very few today. When I was a senior at PNG, he was on the LULAC committee who interviewed me for a Freshman Scholarship. I was later the recipient of that scholarship. I am so glad that Gilbert is no longer suffering and he is now at peace. Please treasure all your precious memories of him and just know that we will all see him again in Heaven.
