Gladys R. Foret

Gladys R. Foret 88, of Groves passed away Saturday June 11, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Gladys was born in Rayne, Louisiana on July 12, 1927 to Vincent Roberts and Belzier Champagne Roberts. She worked at Wills Department Store for a number of years and as a PBX Operator for the City of Groves. Gladys was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves. She was a resident of Groves for 52 years. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Gladys will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert " Bobby" L. Foret, four sisters Beulah Thibodeaux, Mable Moore, Girdy Roberts, Verdie Albarado, four brothers Claude Roberts, Octave Roberts, Gaston Roberts and Percy Roberts all from Rayne, LA. As well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Gladys is survived by her son Robert Lee Foret, Jr. of Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J.C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and staff for the care and kindness shown her since her illness.
