Gladys Brinkley Rucker Gladys Brinkley Rucker, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas died Monday, November 15, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1922 in Jacoby, Louisiana to Edward Augustus Brinkley and Margaret Zeolide Bordelon. Gladys had lived in this area for 65 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Groves. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Beverly Tune of First Methodist Church of Groves will be officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband; Arthur Rucker and her son; David Edward Rucker. She is survived by her son; Arthur Donald Rucker and wife, Tina of Beaumont, Tx., four grandchildren; Chris Rucker, Casey Rucker, Kim Klingbeil, and Michael Rucker and seven great grandchildren.
