Glenda Rose Bush, 78, of Port Neches, Texas passed away at her home on June 18, 2021. She was born in Leesville, Louisiana on June 7, 1943 to the late Dempsey Hunt and Ruby Talbert. She loved her family and was a dedicated mother. She loved going to the beach, taking trips to the casino, and was tougher than a box of rocks. She didn’t take nothing from nobody! No matter how big any of the kids got, she would always have an open lap to sit in that came along with a warm bear hug and cuddles.
Glenda is survived by her children, Net Bush and her wife Beth Wright, Renee Gobert and her husband Darrell, and Dianne Jurek and her husband Shawn; her grandchildren, Ryan Gobert, Taylor Jurek-Watkins, Baylee Jurek-Mongold, and Makaleigh Jurek; her great-grandchildren, Zayden Jurek, Mason Mongold, Riley Watkins, Jaxon Mongold, Alana Gobert, and Parker Watkins; and her sisters, Donna Sessions and her husband Tommy, and Dolores Lupo and her husband A.J. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Ronald and Rodney Hunt; and her sister, Linda “Sue” Trahan.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to our friend and caretaker, Carmell Combest.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m with Jacob Trahan officiating.
