Glenda Rebert Meaux, 82, of Nederland passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Mid Jefferson Extended Care in Beaumont surrounded by her beloved family. Glenda was born April 5, 1939, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Earl Rebert and Olive (Hebert) Rebert.

Glenda was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a devout Christian. She had a love for Cajun and Blues music. She enjoyed the beach, spending time with her family and was an avid Rockets and Astros fan.

Glenda was preceded in death by her spouse, James Dale Meaux; brothers, Clinton Rebert and Ronald Rebert

Those left to cherish Glenda’s memory are her children, Darren Meaux and wife, Kellie of Fresno, TX; Regan Meaux and wife, Ginger of Nederland, TX; Wendell Meaux and wife, Kellie of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Lauren McCartney, Tara Meaux, Dylan Meaux, Cody Meaux, Courtney White, Madelyn Meaux; seven great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Jean Little; and her fur baby, Ollie.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in honor of Ms. Glenda Meaux may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children; Attn: Processing Center, P.O. Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.

The Meaux family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Roussel Clement and his staff for the love and care they provided to their mother.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home. A Celebration of Glenda’s Life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
