Glenn Edward Champagne, 61, of Groves, passed away. Glenn was born August 5, 1957 in Port Arthur to the late Lester Champagne and Mildred Venable Champagne. He was self-employed as a cabinet maker.

Glenn is survived by his daughters, Kayganne Dupre and her husband Mike of Groves, Arli Champagne Weaver of Bridge City, and Addi Champagne of Bridge City; step-daughter, Kasie Savoy; son Dillon Champagne of Bridge City; step-son Tanner Girouard; brother, Tim Champagne and his wife Donna of Bridge City; sisters, Lynette Champagne of Groves, Lisa Faul of Orange, and Charlotte South and her husband Thomas of Groves; grandchildren, Jayden Dupre, Jaxen Dupre, and Rori Captain Hoffpauir; also a host of nieces and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Janet Champagne

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. J.C. Coon officiating.

My deepest condolences to Glenn’s children, family and friends. It is such sad news to hear my childhood friend has passed. I’m remembering growing up in the neighborhood together playing with all our friends, riding bikes skating rink and friendly baseball games in empty lots in our neighborhood. We had so much fun.
