Glenn Ray Handel

Glenn Ray Handel, 71, of Nederland passed away Monday, November 25, 2019. He was born in Port Arthur on November 17, 1948 to Ralph and Mable Nell Lee Handel. He retired as a chief engineer from Texaco Marine and Isle of Capri after 50 years of service. Glenn served in the Texas A & M Corp and graduated as a Lieutenant GJ.

Those left to cherish Glenn’s memory are his wife, Vicki Guarnere Handel of Nederland; his mother, Mable Handel of Nederland; his daughter, Raven Elaine Handel Broussard and her husband, Brent of Nederland; his son, Barrett Patrick Handel and his wife, Patricia of Nederland; his brother, Gary Kirt Handel and his wife, Roxann of Broddus; and his grandchildren, Graiden Vincent Broussard, Bryant Anthony Broussard, and Brixton Rose Handel. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Glenn Handel; his uncle, Bert Lee; his aunt, Elvarue Martin; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vincent and Elizabeth Guarnere.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Vickie so sorry to hear of Glenn's passing. He was a great roommate for the first 2 years at College Station & then the following year on the Texas Clipper @ Pier 19 in Galveston.
