I didn't know meemaw for that long, but I remember spending nights at their place some weekends. Her and pawpaw got my sister and Deanna sleeping bags to spend the night. She made some delicious desserts, her carrot cake was the best one. I remember going to church every sunday with her. She was a nice person and will forever be in our hearts.

So sad to see this. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Lane Cook, by six years. I pray that she is enjoying a joyous reunion with him and all of her loved ones on the other side. Peanut and Flip together again. My prayers are with her family and friends. May God bless you and comfort you in this difficult time.

I feel like I've known "Peanut" most of my adult life. She and Jim were on the same deer lease with my parents. I remember that her dad was Santa every year at the deer lease for all the kids. Peanut was his elf helper. Then later, Peanut and Jim were neighbors with my parents at Toledo Bend. She loved having her grandkids spend time at the lake with them. So many memories of fun times at the deer lease and the lake. Peanut was always very caring to me, my hubby and children. She knew my daughter loved lemons...and would always send big home grown lemons to her. She would call occasionally just to check in...I will miss hearing from her. Rest In Peace sweet lady. Hope you and mom are "catching up".
