Gloria Mae Baskin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, 94, passed away in Huntsville, Texas on December 3, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend Travis Cox. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 10, 1929, to her loving parents Lyman Jones and Georgia Y. Jones. Known for her grace and kindness, Gloria was loved by all who knew her. She had a warm and welcoming presence that would light up any room she entered. Her strong devotion to family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis Baskin Sr., and her daughter Amelia Baskin. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know them.
She is survived by her son Curtis Baskin of Pearland, TX; two daughters Raenella Talbert and husband Ronald of Brookeland, TX; and Mary Ellen Calcote and husband Tim of Huntsville, TX. Gloria's legacy also extends to her nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren whose lives she touched deeply.
