Gloria Jean Cormier

Gloria Jean Cormier, 69 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Gloria was born December 20, 1950 in Abbeville, Louisiana to John B. Cormier and Emalie Lemaire Cormier. She was a longtime area resident and member of the Presbyterian faith.

Gloria was the office manager for the Palms Apartments and former EMT.

Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany Garza and husband Roy of Groves; sister, Sandra Cooley and husband Jeff of Groves; brothers, B. J. Cormier and wife June of Mississippi, John E. Cormier and wife Cheryl of Groves, and Larry W. Cormier and wife Johnna of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Chelsea N. Lemaire, Stephany M. Garza, and Eric J. Garza; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kayson, Jazmyn, Alycesaundra, Jairo, Jr., and Ethan and one on the way; step-grandson, Roy Garza Jr.; and step-great grandchildren, Caden, Hayden and Brayden.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Johnna Cormier officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.

Praying for Gloria's family. I know she will be greatly missed. I worked with Gloria at Home Care Supply and found Gloria to be one of the most genuine people and friends.

Family and Friends of Gloria Cormier. Gloria was a very special lady. She was always ready to help anyone. A very talented person. Gloria was family to us also.
