Gloria Dean “Deanie” Daniels, 82, of Port Neches, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Forever Young Home in Groves, Texas.
She was born December 29, 1940 in Gonzales, Texas to Elvin Gescheidle/Christian and Inez (McNabb) Gescheidle/Christian.
Deanie graduated from Gonzales High School in Gonzales, Texas and she and her husband, William “Bill” Daniels, later moved to Port Arthur, Texas in 1962. She was a member of First Baptist of Groves, a former member of the Red Hat Society and was employed by several local department stores including, Dryden’s, The Fair Store, Dillard’s and Beall’s, for many years before retiring.
Deanie was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Inez Gescheidle/Christian; loving husband of 61 years, William “Bill” Daniels; and infant daughter, Debbie Daniels.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Domingue and husband, Buddy of Port Neches, Texas, Kim White and husband, Robert of Dickinson, Texas, and Teresa Hammonds of Port Neches, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Walker and fiancé, John Troquille, Matt Morgan and wife, Ashley, Chelsea Dollar and husband, Elliott, Logan Hammonds, Aubrie Hammonds, and Jody Domingue; great-grandchildren, Ian Walker and Indy Dollar and future bonus great-grandchildren, Rebecca Troquille, Allen Troquille, Clay Troquille; sister Sandy Sefcik and husband, Wayne; as well as other loving family and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Joe Worley and Associate Pastor, Charles Miller of First Baptist Church of Groves officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Domingue, Robert White, Matt Morgan, Elliott Dollar, Logan Hammonds, John Troquille, and Tracy Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Ian Walker, Allen Troquille and Clay Troquille.
The family would like to give special thanks to the employees of Forever Young Home in Groves, Texas and Tasha and Brandi of Hospice Plus for providing such excellent care over the last few weeks.
